Curtain wall production workflow
Cutting uprights and crossbars
Curtain wall uprights and crossbars are cut predominantly at 90° on large-section profiles. Double head cutting machines with 700 mm blades — such as the Mammut 700 Electra — ensure cutting precision on these sections. For serial cutting of identical crossbars, automatic cutting centers optimize the cycle without operator.
Milling and drilling for fasteners and mechanisms
CNC machining centers such as the Raptor 3000 deliver precision milling and drilling on multiple sides for the installation of brackets, fasteners, drainage systems and opening mechanisms. CAD/CAM programming ensures repeatability across all pieces of the same batch.
Positioning and measuring
Length stop systems ensure repeatable positioning on cutting machines. For machining centers, CNC programming manages all position coordinates.
Sizing your department
The basic configuration for a curtain wall specialist includes a double head cutting machine with 700 mm blades, a CNC machining center and a length stop system. For orders with large volumes of identical crossbars, adding an automatic cutting center significantly reduces cycle times.
